According to Ayurveda, the hair is derived either produced as a by-product or as a degradation product of Asthi ( bone ) . Internal use of Ayurvedic medicines as Thikthakam Kashayam , Thikthakam ghritham by a doctor are effective for proper metabolism. Ayurvedic general tonics like Narasimha Rasayanam , Chyavana prasam are effective in improving hair growth .
In the alopecia due to systemic diseases , the treatment thereof is also required.
General advice and recommendations to maintain the results are some of the following :
- High in protein and iron rich diet for hair loss is recommended. An adequate intake of raw vegetables , fresh fruits , salads, green leafy vegetables should be included in the diet on a regular basis. - Use a natural shampoo to cleanse the hair . Amla ( Embilica officinalis ) , Shikakai ( Acacia concinna ) is very good for washing hair .
- Oil and massage the scalp is very beneficial for stopping the hair loss. The use of coconut oil, at least three times a week . Some oils , such as olive oil Neelibhringadi Kanjunnyadi medicinal , Kunthala Kanthi , are very useful. Put oil on the scalp and massage gently into the hair roots .
- The person should maintain a regular bowel movement everyday. In case of constipation , a mild natural laxative can be taken . Triphala is very useful.
- Regular physical exercise is very beneficial as it helps in balancing the aggravated doshas.
- Rub the scalp after washing hair . Increases blood and activates the sebaceous glands circulation.
- A mixture of lettuce juice and spinach is good to drink to induce hair growth . The juice of carrot and lettuce juice is also good to take .
- The application of green leaf juice cilantro in the head is also good. - Wash your hair with a paste of cooked green beans and fenugreek ( methi ) two or three times a week , is also good.
- A paste of licorice made by grinding in milk can be applied in the bald patches .
